The 2010 Coyotes Girls Volleyball Skills Camp will be conducted in CSUSB's Coussoulis Arena and the Coyote Den from July 26 through July 29.

The volleyball camp is open to all girls entering grades 7-12, and to graduating seniors. The NCAA no longer prohibits current and graduating high school seniors from attending university-run summer sports camps.

Cost is $225 per camper due by July 16, 2010. After July 16, 2010 cost is $250. First day walk-ins will be accepted at a cost of $250 if space is available. Refunds for injury reasons only. Enrollment includes camp instruction as outlined, camp t-shirt and a camp ball. Lunch and transportation to and from the university are not included. Registration forms are available online.

The Coyote volleyball camp is geared toward players of any skill level who hope to maximize their volleyball potential and develop their fundamental skills. The camp also will benefit players whose goals are to improve their tactical knowledge and technique at a particular position (i.e., setter, outside hitter, middle blocker). Players who hope to play at the collegiate level are encouraged to attend this instructional and challenging camp.

Camp times are 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday, July 26-28. On Thursday, July 29, camp will be held from 8 a.m. until noon. Sample camp schedule is as follows:

8 a.m. - 8:20 a.m. Demonstration of fundamentals
8:20 a.m. - 8:35 a.m. Break into groups - stretch
8:35 a.m. - 10:35 a.m. Fundamental skill work
10:35 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Combination drills, team offense/defense
11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Scrimmage
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Lunch break
1:00 p.m. - 1:20 p.m. Skill demonstration (Coach Cherniss)
1:20 p.m. - 1:40 p.m. Break into groups - stretch
1:40 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Skill work
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Position stations (setting, middle blocking, outside attacking)
